1 min read

OKARA: Chuchak police claimed on 2nd September to have recovered three minor girls who had allegedly been kidnapped around two weeks back.

According to the first information report, on the night of Aug 21, three minor girls from the same family Sahr Fatima (15), Noor Fatima (12), and Sidra Yousaf (14) were kidnapped at gunpoint from an outhouse at Village 5/GD on Renala-Chuchak Road.

The suspects, identified as Babar Sohail, Akram, Zohran (wife of Arshad), Javaria, and five unidentified accomplices, allegedly carried out the abduction using two vans. When the family resisted, they raised an alarm, prompting nearby villagers to rush to the scene. However, the suspects, threatening to kill, bundled the girls into the vans and fled via Renala-Chuchak Road.

Following a report by the girls’ uncle, Sajjad Nasim, Chuchak police registered a case under section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code against nine suspects, including two women.

District Police Officer Muhammad Raashid Hidayt formed a special team, which recovered all three kidnapped girls on Monday. The main suspect, Babar Sohail, was also arrested in Bahawalpur, as claimed by the police.
