AVCC Recovers 10 Abducted Children, Arrests Three Kidnappers

The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) police on September 3 recovered 10 abducted children from different parts of Karachi and arrested three suspects involved in the kidnappings.

According to an AVCC spokesperson, the Sindh Inspector General of Police had tasked the unit on August 27, 2025, to trace and recover recently abducted children from the city. Acting on these directives, SSP AVCC Asif Baloch constituted zonal teams under the supervision of the DSP Operations and Investigation.

Through technical support and human intelligence, the teams carried out targeted raids across various localities of Karachi, ensuring the safe recovery of all abductees and arresting the alleged kidnappers. The recovered children were identified as Abdul Muiz, 16; Asghar Ali, 2; Musa, 4; Ayan, 11; Rehan, 13; Muzammil, 14; Shaban, 9; Tania, 16; Alishah, 14; and Hamna Naz, 14.

The arrested suspects were identified as Akhtar, son of Afzal; Rashid, son of Ismail; and Dixon alias Ali, son of Arshad Masih. The spokesperson added that interrogation of the suspects was under way and further revelations were expected.
