BAHAWALPUR: Lodhran city police claimed on April 3 to have arrested a man on the charges of sexually harassing and blackmailing a first-year girl student in Faizabad locality of Lodhran city.

According to the police, a woman complainant said that her neighbour ‘I’ would train her daughter ‘S’ (17) , a first-year student, in online work.

She alleged that the suspect sexually harassed her daughter, took objectionable photographs and attempted to blackmail her.

She said that when she tried to stop him, he threatened her and her daughter of dire consequences and used abusive language against them. She said the suspect also threatened them to upload the pictures of ‘S’ on social media to defame them.

On her complaint, Lodhran city police registered FIR No 465/26 under sections 377-B and 292 of the PPC against the suspect and arrested him.
