DERA GHAZI KHAN: Two youths have reportedly been abducted by the Laadi gang from village Kocha Wadani in the vicinity of the Saddar Police Station.

According to sources, the Laadi gang abducted Danial (19) and Shahil (15) hailing from the Wadani clan, residents of Kocha Wadani, and took them to the Koh Sulaiman tehsil in the jurisdiction of the Border Military Police (BMP).

Sources further alleged that a tribal jirga, comprising members of the Wadani clan and local residents, had gone to the area to negotiate for the safe recovery of the abducted teens.

Dera Ghazi Khan DPO Sadiq Baluch told Dawn that nine members of the Laadi gang, including four identified gangsters, kidnapped the teenagers from the village accusing them of providing information about the gang to the police.

He said that City DSP, DG Khan Saddar SHO, Kot Mubarak SHO and drone teams were making efforts for the recovery of the abducted boys. He also confirmed that a delegation of the Wadani clan was also trying to free the youngsters by using tribal influence.

BMP Commandant Ameer Taimoor said that the BMP would soon recover the abducted teenagers.
