BHAKKAR: Police rescued a four-year-old girl who had been kidnapped from Kalurkot and taken to Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

District Police Officer (DPO) Shehzad Rafiq Awan handed over the recovered child, identified as Safeena Zainab, to her parents in an emotional reunion on November 5.

Police said the child’s abduction had sparked widespread concern in the local community. Under the direct supervision of DPO Shehzad Rafiq Awan, multiple police teams were formed to trace the suspects and recover the girl.

Within 24 hours of the abduction, police located the suspects in Lakki Marwat and safely recovered the child.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Awan praised the dedication and coordination of the investigating teams, saying that the rescue operation was a testament to the department’s commitment to child safety.

“Protecting children is our top priority,” he stated. “Those involved in this heinous and cowardly act will be arrested soon and punished to the fullest extent of the law.”

Many citizens gathered outside the family’s home to congratulate them and offered prayers for the child’s continued safety.
