Extramarital Affair: Woman Kills Husband, Four Children before Turning Gun to Self

In a tragic incident in Khairpur, a woman allegedly killed her husband and four children before committing suicide, reportedly over suspicions of her husband’s extramarital affair.

All six members of a prominent business family were found dead in their home in Khairpur on Tuesday, in what police believe was a case of murder-suicide.

According to A-Section Police Station SHO Inspector Nazir Mangi, officers rushed to the residence of businessman Naveed Arain after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found all six bodies in separate rooms, each bearing gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen.

The deceased were identified as 35-year-old Arain; his wife, 30-year-old Aqsa; their three sons, Ali Sher, Ahmed Ali, and Muhammad Musa; and their daughter, Mubashra. The children were aged between six and fourteen.

Initial investigations suggest that Aqsa allegedly used her husband’s licensed pistol to kill each family member before taking her own life. “The position of her body and the evidence collected indicate it was a murder-suicide,” Inspector Nazir told reporters.

Police said preliminary findings point to marital discord as a possible motive. Investigators believe Aqsa suspected her husband of having an affair with another woman.

Arain belonged to one of Sukkur’s most well-known business families. Police have sealed the residence and collected forensic evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
