Child Rapist Denied Bail, Stays in Jail

1 min read

KARACHI: A Judicial Magistrate (South) rejected the bail plea of Deepak Kumar, a school employee arrested in a case involving the alleged rape of a seven-year-old girl in PNT Colony.

In the verdict, the court observed that the victim’s statement, along with the medical examination report, provided solid evidence against the accused. The court noted that due to the seriousness of the allegations, bail could not be granted at this stage.

The prosecutor argued that while the school administration gave false assurances of taking action, it failed to do so. He further said that the victim’s statement was consistent with the contents of the FIR and that there is compelling evidence linking the accused to the crime.
