Teen Domestic Worker Found Dead

LAHORE: A 15-year-old domestic worker died under mysterious circumstances at the house of a police official in Kahna.

Local police officials said they were awaiting the medico-legal report before deciding their course of action in the case.

The girl, was found hanging in the residence of Sub-Inspector Najaf Bhatti on September 17. While the police initially declared the death a suicide, the father of the deceased rejected the claim, alleging that his daughter had been tortured.

According to officials, Roz Mari had been living and working with her parents at Bhatti’s house.

In a statement to investigators, the maid’s mother claimed that an argument had taken place over the teenager watching television, following which the girl allegedly ended her life.
