LAHORE:A newborn baby kidnapped from Lahore General Hospital (LGH) three days ago was recovered and handed over to his mother here on Wednesday.
Principal Prof Dr M Farooq Afzal and MS Prof Dr Faryad Hussain appreciated the police for safe recovery of the baby. Prof Farooq Afzal said the LGH administration will give certificates of appreciation to the police officials. The mother of the child expressed her happiness after getting her newborn and thanked the LGH administration and police officials.
Earlier, Prof Dr Farooq Afzal had met the father of the missing newborn and assured the family that the administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) will continue to provide all possible support and remain in close coordination with the police until the safe recovery of the child.
Utilising forensic evidence, CCTV footage, and advanced technology, the joint operation and investigation teams of police traced the newborn’s whereabouts.
DIG Faisal Kamran commended SP Model Town and the entire team for their dedication and professionalism in resolving the case swiftly. The police are continuing efforts to apprehend the second suspect involved in the kidnapping.
