Stage Actress Held After Rape Of Maid By Five At Her House

LAHORE: Police have arrested a stage actress on Tuesday for her alleged involvement in the torture and repeated rape of a minor girl, she had employed as home help, some days ago.

Nawab Town police registered a case against the actress, her employee and four unidentified men under rape and torture charges.

The police later arrested the actress and started investigation.

According to the FIR, the complainant, the 16-year-old victim’s mother, stated that her daughter was employed at the house of the stage actress on Aug 8.

She stated that a man, an employee of the actress, living in the upper portion of her house, served her daughter a drink spiked with some intoxicant and raped her on the night of Aug 14.

She further alleged that when her daughter woke up around 11 am the next day, the suspect again made her drink the intoxicant and called four other men, who repeatedly raped the girl for the next two days.

She stated that on finding an opportunity, her daughter escaped from the actress’ house on Aug 18, reached home and narrated them her ordeal.

She added that her daughter was bleeding when she returned home.

She alleged that during her daughter’s illegal detention for four days, the actress kept the girl locked in a room, subjected her to torture and hurled threats of dire consequences at her if she informed anybody about the rape episode.

She demanded immediate and stern action against the actress and other suspects.

The police say they conducted a raid on the house of the actress and arrested her.

They added that raids were being conducted to arrest other suspects.
