Dejected Girl, Boy Commit Suicide

DIJKOT:

A 17-year-old girl ended her life by hanging herself after her family refused her wish for a love marriage.

The incident took place in Chak No. 243RB, within the jurisdiction of Roshanwala Police Station. According to initial reports, the girl wanted to marry someone of her choice, but her family disagreed. Heartbroken over the rejection, she locked herself in her room and committed suicide.

Family members discovered her hanging body and informed the police. Roshanwala police reached the scene, completed the necessary legal formalities, and handed over the body to the family.

A few hours after learning of Sana’s death, her alleged lover also took his own life in the same manner. His body was also found hanging. Police took custody of the second body and handed it over to his family after completing the formalities.

The double suicide left the village in shock, sparking speculation and sorrow in the local community.
