The Islamabad Capital Territory Child Labour Survey (ICTCLS) 2023–2024 offers valuable insights into the living conditions and daily lives of children in the territory, covering aspects such as education, work, and household responsibilities. To ensure representation at the district level across both urban and rural areas, the survey used a two-stage stratified sampling approach.
Stage 1: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) selected Primary Sampling Units (PSUs) within each Tehsil.
Stage 2: After conducting a listing of households, 16 households were randomly selected from each PSU.
The sample size for ICT was determined based on the prevalence of child labour in similar areas of Punjab. The final sample includes 2,929 households and is representative of children aged 5 to 17 across both rural and urban settings.
