Police solve 11-year-old Sohaib Qamar’s murder, arresting his maternal uncle and aunt.

OKARA:

The murder of 11-year-old Sohaib Qamar in Shahzad Colony, Dipalpur, was resolved as police identified his maternal uncle and aunt as the culprits.

Police arrested both accused, who later confessed to the crime. The breakthrough was announced by DPO Okara Muhammad Rashid Hidayat in a press conference.

Police said four days ago, Sohaib Qamar, the son of Qamar Abbas, an employee of a sensitive agency, was found hanging from a window in his home.

Authorities initially suspected foul play and shifted the body for a post-mortem examination, which later confirmed the child was murdered.

Following the revelation, an investigative team, led by SHO Dipalpur City Saeed Bhatti, was formed to solve the case.

Using scientific investigation techniques, police arrested the suspects within four days.

DPO Rashid Hidayat disclosed that on the day of the incident, the victim had returned home from school when he caught his maternal aunt, Iqra, and her acquaintance Usman in a compromising situation.
